Ability to group project completion by month/year (graph and table)

Currently, the Finish Date variable is only sorted by the day on Table views for Reports (and graphs). To make the reports more useful in terms of numbers/budgeting, it would make sense to have the ability of aggregating the values into the Month/Year values. Example:

Project 1 Complete - 04/01/18

Project 2 Complete - 04/26/18

Project 3 Complete - 04/30/18

Projects completed in April - 3 (in a report format, table or graph)

Projects completed in 2018 - 3 (in a report format, table or graph)

I wish I had a nickel for every time I had to export to Excel to figure out how many times something happened within a certain month.

Wrike Analyze can do it! And so much more 😀 Pivot table example but you could also do line chart, bar chart, column chart, etc. I could've renamed the headers but wanted to show actual fields before renaming:

Gracie Luna and others, have you tried either Chart View or New Dashboards? It's something you can do there easily.

@Elizaveta Bogdanova Chart view works for me as a workaround, but I still wish I could add "Months" as a criteria in a report since you can do more with reports than you can Chart view. And I know you can use Wrike Analyze for this, but if I'm going to create something quick on the fly, I'm going to go to Reports instead of creating a sophisticated Board.

As Vladimir previously mentioned, grouping is available in both the chart and table widgets of the New Dashboards. Have you had a chance to try that out?

Regarding reports, our team plans to refresh them in the upcoming year. This update is expected to include improvements to the look-and-feel and filtering capabilities, similar to those of the New Dashboards, and is likely to support grouping by days, months, and years. We will keep you updated with any new developments. 👍🏽
