Custom Fields + Form questions/answers

Currently only drop down form questions can be mapped to custom fields of the same type. Being able to map more types of form questions/answers to their associated custom field type (check box, date and importance) at either the task or project level would be awesome.

Up voting this! I would LOVE 😍 it if our open text "client" custom field could be populated by the name of the requester. That would be so wonderful. This would help speed up our triage and resourcing process.

The mappings do support more than just dropdowns, but not everything. For instance, short answer or paragraph questions in the form can be mapped to text fields on the task or project, and similar behavior is there for dates as well. The screenshot below shows a paragraph and a date going into custom fields and not the description or scheduling fields.

The only question/field types I've come across of that don't map or don't have an equivalent are as follows:

checkbox questions (mapping to fields with type "multiple select")
user fields (no user question is available)
checkbox fields (no guarantied single checkbox question is available)

There may be other mis-matches as well that I've not run into yet. I've commented on other posts about these three discrepancies, but I can't find them all right now. Here is a post to add user questions: /hc/en-us/community/posts/360012461614-User-custom-field-in-request-form.
