Is it possible to disable the behavior of emails sent to wrike tasks automatically assigning that task to any of the email recipients who are part of the space? This is a rather annoying default behavior.

In this box (I doesn't like email notifications, so I've disabled all) but I think you have some options active.
Pietro, the feature I am asking about is automatic assignment of Wrike tasks to email recipients. If you copy a Wrike task on an email it automatically makes any other recipient of that email who belongs to the Wrike space an Assignee of that task.
I already have all email notifications disabled but this is a separate feature.

we had a similar issue with our ticketing-system within wrike. We told our employees to use a specifc email to send any requests to wrike, and every email ist automatically converted to a task. But we didn't want this task to be assigned to the employee who sent that email. Our solution was to assign that specific email address to a Wrike Dummy user, who is now assigned to the new tasks instead.
Could you describe your situation a little bit mor detailed? Maybe we can find a solution for your use case too!
