Searchable Custom Fields

I would love the information entered into Custom Fields to be searchable. Many of my tasks include item #s, PO #s, vendor codes, etc. My task names have to be very long if I want to be able to search by any of these items. Any chance of searchable custom fields becoming a reality in the future?

SOME of my custom fields are showing up in my searches. Both are text values. Not sure why others aren't.

Hi Rob! There actually shouldn't be a way to search Custom Fields right now 😳 Could the search be picking up something else in the tasks?

Yep - Stephanie, you are correct. Some of the custom fields had the same text in the descriptions 😆

Need that too. I convince my whole team to adopt Wrike for project management because it's a cheap way to do a CRM also.. Now, if we cannot search a company for example, it's kind of a downer. I showed my whole team how it could be well suited, but never tough that we could not search until I tried for myself today.. -_- Should be something easy to fix no?

As mentioned in this thread /hc/en-us/community/posts/115003294689-Search-function-doesn-t-show-results-from-Custom-Columns?page=1#community_comment_360010691134, this is currently not planned by the team. At the same time, you can use filters in different views to only see tasks with particular custom field values. Hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any questions!

I would like to take up that again that the search in user-defined fields is also very important for us in DE. Sorting the fields does not help us ...
