Adding Tasks as Subtasks in Multiple Places

I'd love to be able to add my subtasks to multiple tasks without having to open the destination tasks. I know I can add existing subtasks by typing the desired task in and selecting.

I'd like to be able to create my subtask in whatever task I'm working in, then be able to choose other tasks to add it to (through, for instance, the right click menu or from somewhere within the subtask itself).

I use Wrike for managing operational and internal communications, and my tasks often span not only two or three separate communications, but also Marketing and Supply tasks. It would be great to not have to open three to five separate tasks every time I need to add a sub.

If there's already a better way to do this, please let me know. Thank you!

Hi Paul, that's a really interesting request. Personally, I've recently started using the subtask functionality more and I can definitely see how this would be helpful. We'll send anyone else here with similar feedback!

We are expanding our use of subtasks and would also like to have a way to add them in a number of locations. If I'm working in the table view, could a subtask be created by "tabbing" in or increasing the indent like you would in Excel? This would carry over to the New Timeline view where the table structure exists. Right now it's time consuming to have to open a primary task to add a subtask.

Hi Kristin, it's an interesting approach and something our Product Team will be interested in. Automation ideas are what they love to hear. This is not currently on their roadmap but we'll make them aware of the post for when they're reviewing the functionality.

hello! I'm not sure if this has been worked on or if there are other tickets with this idea, but we are facing the same functional limitation. In requesting our team to tag work into a space for overall org transparency and planning - it would be helpful for those teammates to be able to easily tag their tasks as subtasks without needing both open.

Hi @Annie Brander, in the new Table View, you can use the mass editing option to select tasks and subtasks. Then, click the “Location” button on the toolbar, choose “Add to,” and select the Space where you’d like to add these tasks and subtasks.

I would like to add a bunch of tasks as sub tasks. The mass editing feature would need the ability to a to a task not just folders and projects.
