Feature request: removal of task printing delay or better sync

Please consider the following use case: I use a task to record my work log, at the end of the day I update it with the latest info and print the task before going home. However there's an up to 15 minute delay before the newly entered information becomes available in print view. Meanwhile my day is done and I'm just waiting for it to update.

I was told this is actually a feature and I should make a feature request, so here we are. Please increase your sync rate or perform sync when user clicks the Print link.

In summary here's how to reproduce it:

Make a new task, enter some text, wait a bit for it to sync, click ... menu and print. You get a blank task. Wait a few minutes and try again, then it works.

To provide some background on this sync logic: the delay here is due to the description area updating in real-time even when multiple people are editing. In the majority cases, this lag between real-time updates and sending a task to print helps ensure that all real-time changes are captured, from everyone, before anyone sends it to print.

 

I understand that your task is just for your reference so I can understand why you want to send it directly to print as soon as you're finished updating the task.  Your feedback here will be included in the reports to our Product Team and if there's any change to this in the future I'll be sure to update you here!
