Our Account Owner is no longer with the company. I am an admin on the account, but cannot figure out how to deactivate his login. Can you help with this?
Hi Jordan,
As the Wrike Owner holds the highest level of access, no other account can suspend or block sign-ins for the Owner account. This limitation can cause issues when the Owner is unavailable or when changes are needed.
We encountered the same issue recently. The best course of action would be to submit a Wrike request and ask them to transfer ownership to another account. They may require additional authentication, such as confirmation from another admin.
I recommend transferring ownership to a default account (e.g. wrike@yourbusinessdomain.com) to avoid this issue in the future. Make sure this account is shared with your IT team or 2β3 Wrike admins for continuity and access management.
Once ownership has been transferred, the previous ownerβs account should be moved to a standard licence. You, as an admin, will then be able to manage it as usual.
