Feature Suggestion: Default Task as Milestone

Hey Wrike Team,
On the default task duration settings, there are two options. You can make a task have a duration of your choosing or you can make it backlogged. For our organization, we have found the intended duration to not be super useful or accurate but we do like giving things a due date. To marry these two ideas we have started marking tasks as milestones. Would it be possible to allow the default task duration to be a milestone due in X amount of days? It would save us little bits of time in making each task.

Just to be clear for our Product Team; you're looking for an option so that all new tasks created are pre-set with a default milestone or duration.

For now, I wonder if mass editing will help with this? Using mass editing you could select multiple tasks and change them all to a certain schedule at once. If this interests you and if you have any questions about it please let me know and I'll be happy to help.

Yeah, mass editing is definitely superior to editing individual task once you get more than three. I say three because the interface is a little clunky. However, this is just a time-saving measure that serves the same purpose as the current feature to give all tasks a default start date and duration. So, while without the default start and duration feature I think there is an argument that mass editing would be better than individual editing I think we can agree that the flexibility on the default task setup would save more time or it probably wouldn't have been developed in the first place for start and duration. Thanks for getting back to me and I will keep mass editing in mind.

I know this an old post (almost one year to the day), but I would really like the ability to set all tasks in a given folder as milestone. I agree with John that the due date is the preferred method for how my team uses Wrike. Mass editing is fine to change existing, but it would be handy to just make them milestone by default.

2+ years later and I am looking for the same feature.
My team only wants to set deadlines with tasks and it would be better if the default could be changed.

Otherwise, I am constantly forgetting to convert it and all my tasks show one day on the due date.

I have found how to set to back logged and then set to a 0.0.0 duration but it still tries to add a start date every time I click on the calendar

Just upvoted again! Looking for this exact feature. Fed up of having to convert every task to a milestone which is my preferred way of working. Even without a huge amount of interest on this forum, perhaps people haven't realised they can request a feature? Because it was only as I came searching that I've found this thread. I think if you added the option to make each task a milestone by default, it would be appreciated by many more people than just those in this thread. Please and thank you!
