We create projects blueprints with specific followers on tasks and have encouraged the behavior of @messaging followers when certain tasks are completed so those who need the output are notified. This has worked out well, but it would be great if we could add groups to follower lists instead of individuals for a few reasons.
1. It would save a lot of time when creating blueprint tasks to just add a group. As an example, I would like to add "webinar group" so when creative that many people need is completed they can all easily find it. While there is an easy workaround of @messaging the group instead of @followers, requiring a decision about whether the whole group needs to be notified or just a few is something that is preferred at the time of task creation once, rather than each time a task is completed and complicating a simple behavior that was already a challenge to get compliance on.
2. If someone is added or deleted from the team and thus the group, they will automatically be added or deleted to all the tasks they should be following in all blueprints.
