Can I connect existing space custom fields to a new Database?

There are several space-level custom fields that we have been using for several years now, so we have thousands of projects that are already using these fields, and are used on our forms. I'm testing building a new database within Data Hub to manage a list of the names of our ongoing marketing campaigns, and would like to be able to tie them to several of the existing space-level custom fields. Is that possible? Or would I need to create brand new fields within my database that are the same as our space-level custom fields?

Following because we have the exact same need: Custom fields that we have been using for YEARS. I would love to take advantage of some of the datahub capabilities in the coming production season to reduce data-entry for our teams, however I am loath to make whole new fields and skew all of our YOY reporting.

Currently, it isn’t possible to directly link existing custom fields to a new database in Data Hub. You would typically need to recreate these custom fields within your new database to mirror the space-level custom fields you’ve already set up. This is because custom fields are specific to either a space or an account, while databases in Data Hub function as separate entities with their own custom fields.
