Why can't I delete my "Personal Space"...

the last thing I need in Wrike is a useless folder sticking up at the top that I am not using. I get including it in the rollout, but we should have the ability to delete it just like other spaces. All it's doing now is creating clutter.... unless I am missing some specific functionality of it, I can always make it again.

The continuing bloat is real, Wrike is moving towards "warm tea" - trying to cover everyone's preferences, and making a product nobody wants instead.

I get what they're trying to do, it would just be great if it wasn't a mandatory thing... It's just not being used by me at all.

Agreed. I have a personal folder (that I can now convert into a space if I want). I don't need two.

Hi everyone, thanks a lot for your feedback on the new Wrike functionality, Spaces. You're right, currently, it's impossible to delete a Personal Space. I passed your feedback to the relevant Product team.

I just wanted to mention one thing about the Spaces that I personally find very useful - Bookmarks. I also had a personal folder before, which I converted to a Space. Thanks to Bookmarks, I have access to all my work and for me, it's a lot easier than using a Personal Folder. In the Bookmarks section, I have links to both Wrike items (a couple of Dashboards and Reports) and external links that I use daily.

+1 this thread. As the Project Manager, when people leave I inherit their Personal Space. So now I have a list of Personal spaces that I can't get rid of or rename. My Wrike account is quite cluttered now, and it's drives me bonkers.

I have about 20 extra personal spaces I've inherited when users have left the company. Please create a delete function asap or it might be time to find another project management software to use. The clutter drives me nuts.

Welcome to the Community!

While it currently isn't possible to delete your own Personal space, you can delete the "inherited" Personal spaces of your former Wrike users.

Click to open the inherited Personal space and then look for the three-dot menu in the upper right corner:

While it's not currently possible to delete a personal space, the team has this suggestion on their radar.

We've run into the issue where, when a Project or Task is created, different people see them assigned to different locations.

I see them in my Personal Space while others see them in our Program Space. The correct location is the Program Space (our intake form sets that location). I have no idea why I see them in the Personal Space. This inconsistency makes it VERY difficult for our team to use Wrike.

Any suggestions on how to stop Wrike from assigning anything to the Personal Space (which nobody has never used and never will)?

I haven't had trouble deleting previously inherited spaces but for some reason I am unable to delete this on.

Can you try opening the Space and use the three-dot menu at the top to access the Delete space option? 👇🏼

Hi Basudha,

I inherited several spaces too upon the departure of several colleagues. I do not have the Delete Space option. I am the account owner. So far, I went into Space Settings - Locked the spaces, Changed the color of the Icons into Red and used "Hide" and they do not appear as clutter anymore. But it would sure be nice to have the Delete Space option.
