Is it possible to customise the status dropdown list for a project?
I'd like to have more specific labels than Red, Yellow and Green, and add a few more statuses.
Hi Rob, thank you for bringing this up! This isn't currently possible, and while I can suggest using Custom Fields as a workaround, I think it would be great to have your post in the Product Feedback section of the Community. Let me know if you'd like me to move it over there!

Definitely agree with this. Introduce Cell Conditional Formatting just like excel would be very helpful for us in many uses eg. having many projects on a programme where each project is highlighted with various colors to quickly know if its On Schedule, At risk or marked as closed etc.
I agree with original request, Projects need to be able to go through workflows (Custom Status) the same way Tasks currently do.
+1 Project status is a fairly critical field for most PMOs and would appreciate more flexibility than Red/Yellow/Green.

OMG. I've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out how to make this happen. I'm shocked it's not already a feature. Also, if we're FORCED to use the defaults, please capitalize Hold.

Just adding my vote to this too. It's confusing that the Status does not match the workflow. My team doesn't use Green/Yellow/Red and not being able to change them makes reports very confusing.

This would be great indeed and while working on this please change the colour of closed projects. Using a green in the timeline view for closed projects while green is also a status using green as colour is confusing. Closed projects and projects with status "Green" should easily bee seen as being different which is not the case in timeline view.
When will we have an update here? Why do you force statuses on people that have nothing to do with workflow. At least allow us to remove these
Hi all, we appreciate all your feedback here. Our Product Team is very interested in this area and they continue to think about some steps in this direction, but it's just an early research stage, so we've no estimates at the moment. As and when I have new information I'll keep you updated here.

I'll +1 to keep adding voices. The standard statuses at the project level are of no use to us as-is. They're actually confusing folks a bit.
We also very much need this an option. It would be very helpful to be able to customize the project status just as you can the workflow, including renaming the field and adding additional statuses. We undestand you can add customized fields in which you can add/edit as many options as you like but 1: this is yet an additional field that clutters the overall view on a project information page (which is the only immediate view that comes up in reporting therefore confusing both clients and upper management both of whom don't use Wrike very often and shouldn't have to try to "ignore" or interpret fields) and 2: is the only field that you can apply color to in the Table View when you have only projects showing (and is the most simple viewing of an overall folder, which also one of the few views that most clients and upper management use.).

Upvote!! I have multiple divisions across our health care system that is interested is Wrike but the project status may need to be flexible before they would add to our existing license...

Upvote! We definitely need this feature also! The colors don't offer customization, and we already use several custom fields. We've added another for our own status needs. It IS confusing to have two status options available, but it's a workaround for the moment until the standard Status field has flexibility.

Back again to echo the "shocked this doesn't exist" comment. Please help. "Green" does nothing for me and I've got too many custom fields as it is.

This would be a great improvement. In fact, I think it would make sense to allow the user to apply a certain set of project statuses at the level of a project or folder, to allow these to be flexible.
