Hello Wrike Team,
We’re running into a recurring usability issue around capacity-aware task assignment and wanted to formally request guidance or enhancement consideration.
Use case
When creating or assigning tasks in Table view, we need to determine whether a user has available capacity on a specific day before assigning new work. While this information exists in Workload view, there is currently no way to see per-user daily load or remaining capacity without navigating away from Table view.
Problem
- Table view is where tasks are primarily created and assigned.
- Workload view is required to check daily capacity.
- This forces frequent context switching between views, which significantly slows down task creation and increases the chance of over-assigning work.
- There is no column, hover, or inline indicator in Table view that reflects a user’s availability on a given day, even when effort and dates are set.
What we’re looking for
Any of the following would address the issue:
- Inline visibility of assigned hours / remaining capacity per assignee for the task’s scheduled date
- A warning or indicator when assigning a task that would overload a user on that day
- A lightweight capacity signal accessible from Table view (e.g., via assignee picker or task panel)
Current workaround
We keep Workload view open in a separate tab, but this is a workaround rather than a solution and adds friction to everyday planning.
Request
- Please confirm whether there is any existing functionality or configuration that allows capacity checks without leaving Table view.
- If not, we’d like this logged as a feature request, as it directly impacts efficient and accurate task assignment.
Thank you for your help, and we’re happy to provide additional context if needed.
