Assign same custom field value to multiple tasks

I couldn't find an answer to my issue withing the community posts nor the Wrike documentation, so I'm posting in here.

I have a custom field, and I want to assign the same value to 100 tasks. So far, selecting all 100 tasks will not assign the same value and I have to go one by one, making it very painful!

Does Wrike have an option to do this in a very easy way?

Hi Henry,

yes, there is a very easy way. Using table view you can copy content of one field to others just by dragging, like it works in excel.

So you'd have to set up a table view, add your custom field to a colum, apply a filter so that you see all regarding tasks, enter your value to the first task and then drag it down to the others.

What @Florian Kislich said! I love the drag and apply option in Table views, saves a lot of time for doing exactly that!

Depending on what your use case is, you might also be able to find an automated solution for applying the custom field value to many items upon creation of them.

Yes, as Florian and Anna said, this has been a lifesaver to me. Especially since we are still waiting for the ability to cascade custom fields from project to tasks!
