Differentiation of Item Types (Project vs. Task vs. Folder) by Color

It would be great if projects, folders, and tasks could be more clearly differentiated and distinguished in the UI, such as color coding or other distinct visual treatments beyond just icons. Currently, the elements can look very similar, which can be especially confusing for new users who are still learning the platform. Adding stronger visual cues would improve navigation, reduce mistakes, and make the overall experience more intuitive.

Agreed! It is great that the icon differentiates, but it would be nice to have something more eye-catching to help our users better separate project vs folder vs task. Furthermore, if we could color-code custom item types as well, that would be super cool!

You’re right that we currently use different icons (task, project, folder) and text formatting in Table view (folders and projects are bold, while tasks are regular text) for visual distinction. However, adding color coding or another distinct visual treatment sounds like a very useful improvement.
