Prompt for changing the assignee with AI

Hi, I've a task and this task should be automatically assigned to a specific person. The information to what person the task should be assigned to is in the task description. Sounds straight forward, but so far I could not figure out a simple prompt to do this. Do you have an idea?

Determine the product manager from the task description. All product managers have Wrike users. Determine the Wrike user of the product manager and assign the task to him.

@Stefan Jung thanks for sharing your configuration.

Re: "item" and "sub-item", I understand why those terms might not be useful to you. In Wrike, you can have tasks that contain projects that contain folders. You can even have custom item types. We landed on "item" and "sub-item" as those cover all scenarios.

I am trying to understand what you want to achieve with these two agent actions. In the first one, you tell the agent to spot "missing or wrong […] data." It occurs to me that you may want to explain to the agent how you typically recognise such errors.

As to the assignment action, there's not a lot for me to react to. My recommendation is one about the process that I like to follow:
1. identify the data I want the agent to use
2. before writing the prompt, ask the agent for every data point if it can read that data (that way, I know I can safely refer to it)
3. build the prompt iteratively, where every new iteration builds on successfully testing the previous one.

2. i imagine you will appoint the agent to a parent item, so set the trigger to "subitems".

Hi Marco, the terms "item" and "subitem" are irritating to me, because I am not sure if "project" and "task" is meant, probably yes. Although I don't fully understand the checkboxes, I have activated all of them to see an effect. The second action (Inform) works shows the name of the user, but does not @mention him. The first action (Change Assignee) does not work at all.

Thank you Marco, I'll step back and iteratively rebuild the prompt. The task description of tasks like this is generated by a middleware and pumped into Wrike via REST API. So, it's not human written. Not so easy to steer a dialog between two machines.
