I used the basic 'my tasks' template to create the dashboard. However, the only workflows it allows me to select statuses to filter from are those associated only with projects. What is going on??
Hi @Amanda Jovaag, this usually happens because the dashboard widget is configured to pull from Projects instead of Tasks, even if the dashboard itself was created from a task-based template. Edit the widget and check the Source and Filters. Open the widget settings… Make sure the Source is Tasks (not Projects). Then check the Status filter. You should now see statuses from your task workflows, not just project workflows. If the widget source is set to Projects, Wrike will only show project workflow statuses, which is why those are the only options appearing. Switching the source back to Tasks should resolve it.
When I go to edit my widget, the only thing option that shows up like 'Source' is the space or project or folder it is drawing information from. When I created the dashboard, I selected tasks, and tasks are what are showing up in my dashboard, but the wrong status options are showing up in the filter.
Hi @Amanda Jovaag. If tasks are showing but you’re only seeing project workflow statuses in the filter, it’s usually because the tasks in that space/project are using the same workflow that’s assigned to projects. In Wrike, status filters in dashboards pull from the workflows applied to the items in that location. If the space/project only has a project workflow assigned, those are the statuses the filter will show. Once tasks are using a task workflow, the dashboard filters should show those task statuses instead.
I assure you, the tasks in the dashboard are all using task workflows.
Hmmm…. could the widget’s filter be pulling from the project-level workflow of the location it’s sourcing from, rather than the workflows of the individual tasks?
Rebuild the status filter in the widget by removing the current status filter and adding it again. Sometimes it retains the workflow options from when the widget was first created. Double-check to confirm the widget type is Tasks, not Projects & Tasks. Then try creating a new test widget in the same dashboard with the same source location and see if the correct task workflow statuses appear.
