Hi!
There have been a few posts under Product Feedback for more flexibility of date selection in Date questions in Request Form - this idea is slightly different.
It would be interesting to have a new setting under any Date question to leverage custom Work schedules or to be able to block off select dates manually.
Idea 1 - Connecting to a Wrike Work schedule
Users can add a Date question and connect it to a Work schedule that's created in the backend Settings. The date selection calendar that pops up for the requester when engaging with this question on the Request Form will have dates blocked off that correspond to those blocked off on the Work schedule.
Idea 2 - Block days off manually in a Date question
Users can add a Date question and manually go in to block certain dates. The date selection calendar that pops up for the requester when engaging with this question on the Request Form will have dates blocked off that correspond to those that were selected on the backend of the question.
The idea sprung from the following use case:
We have an external Request Form for our Sales teams to be able to request an office visit from our Events team. Our Events team collects these requests in Wrike and approves or denies them, and supports them accordingly. They also have a Wrike Calendar that we share a public view of in the form for requesters to plan their visits accordingly. Multiple visits can technically happen in a day (as long as they are requested for different times - whole other gap in Wrike where our Calendars can't reflect time blocks), but at a certain point, we need to cut off requests for certain dates. Team outages, holidays, and low availability can also impact date availability. It would be so useful if the Date selection question in the visits form could show these unavailabilities; whether because it reads information in an existing Work schedule or because we can manually block dates on a given Date question's calendar.
