While Wrike Dashboards currently allow us to display numerical values (currency, percentages, totals) as single-value widgets, and full task details in list/table widgets, there is a gap in displaying single textual data points.
Currently, we cannot create a widget that shows only the Project Title or only the text content of a specific Custom Field without the surrounding task metadata and clutter.
Requested Improvements
1. "Single Text Value" WidgetsWe need the ability to isolate and display a single piece of text as a widget. This would include:
- Project/Task Title only: To create minimalist navigation or status boards.
- Text Custom Fields: Displaying the "Latest Comment" or "Status Summary" field as a standalone, readable block of text within the dashboard.
- Inline Editing: Being able to update that specific text field directly from the dashboard widget.
2. Project-Level Filtering & Contextual ViewsThe current dashboard filtering is limited to "Location" (Folders/Spaces). We need more granular control:
- Filter by Project: The ability to filter a dashboard's entire data set by a specific Project name.
- Dashboards as Project Views: In addition to Table, Gantt, and Board views, it would be a game-changer to have a Dashboard View within a Project. This view should automatically filter all its widgets to show only the data relevant to that specific project.
Business Case
This would allow us to create "Project Cockpits." For example, a dashboard where one widget shows only the project's strategic objective (Text Custom Field), another shows the title, and others show the financial KPIs. This reduces visual noise and allows stakeholders to focus on critical qualitative information alongside quantitative data
