In reports, I'd still like to know the parent task's name even if the parent task lies outside the folders/tags I am reporting on.
We use the copy task feature for redundant tasks. Many times these tasks have sub-tasks. The sub-tasks lie in many different folders/tags. If I run a report on, let's say, the EMAIL folder, I'd like to know that the an EMAIL TARGET CONTACTS task is a task that related to its parent, let's say, PRODUCT RELEASE X.
PRODUCT RELEASE X task is not in the email folder, because it spans a broader scope than just emails. When I run my report on the EMAIL folder, the Task column says EMAIL TARGET CONTACTS, where as the Parent Task column is blank.
The clone task helps us be more efficient by not having to create reoccurring tasks. However, the efficiency is negated when we have to append each task name with its parent's name (needed to show on reports.)
Thank you,
David
