Work-from-anywhere has us all dreaming a little: if you could take your laptop and work from a different place for a while, where would you go? A beach, a mountain cabin, a cozy café in a new city, or somewhere completely unique?

My Ideal Workcation Spot:

For a proper workcation, I'd love to work from somewhere with a completely different culture, cuisine, and way of life than what I'm used to. So probably a different country altogether 😄

For me, a change of location and the chance to be around new people is all it would take to stay inspired and explore along the way. 🌏

I want to work and to get into flow to do things. So best in a well known environment. Also I can close the door in the evening and spend time with my family.

I agree with Sven honestly, I do my best work in my office, spent a lot of time and energy making it a productive place. Buuuut I also get some great work done at cigar lounges. It's so relaxing, it creates a totally different kind of flow state for me.

If I could take my laptop to work anywhere in the world I would love to work from a restaurant balcony on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. I have never been but having a serene view somewhere looking down on the ocean from the dramatic cliffs with my headphones in smelling the ocean breeze and watching the people interact in the villages would bring me peace and relaxation, a much needed break from the busy screen-focused work style of my day-to-day job.

Workcation at a bed & breakfast pretty much anywhere near nature (and not in the middle of the city) would be great! You have a beautiful room & patio to work from and you are fed well to start the day, then be able to explore the sights after work.

I do love working from a cafe with a coffee and a pastry. being in a different environment outside of my office or home office can be inspiring and help to shift my focus into deep work. Then once I'm done I can walk around the city and explore.

I work in a hybrid role/organization. This time of year, I like to work from my RV that is parked next to a small lake in the middle of a wooded area on my "work from home" days. It is peaceful, quiet, and keeps me calm as I work through stressful projects.
