Public Link for Folders/Projects/Reports

Similar to the "Enable public link" that is available for Request Forms, it would be great if this functionality was available for Folders/Projects/Reports to allow for embedding. Our team would love to aggregate information between our CRM and project tasks to view status and attachments in one view without having to navigate to Wrike separately.

Hi Joe, thanks for posting. I may need a little more information about who can click this link i.e. external or internal. A use-case would be ideal to fully get to grips with your thinking 🙂

For now, if the person you want to share a link with is a user in your account, then you could use the permalink available in the Task View and Folder within Wrike.

For Reports, you could create a Snapshot and share the link provided too.

Hi Stephen - Thanks for the quick response. I was hoping to generate an embeddable link of a permalink that would be viewable outside of Wrike (e.g. Google Sites). This would allow us to create views of a specific Folder/Project in Wrike and other Google Sheets/Docs data for a specific client. Please let me know if that helps.

It's a good idea but it's not currently on the Product Team's roadmap. Andrew posted a similar suggestion so it would be great if you could vote there too, just so everything in the one place for our Product Team.

Just wanted to say that I am also in support of a publicly facing "no login required" permalink. This would be a read-only view. No need to interact.

Examples would be:
1) Embedding pages in other systems (where a login would create friction for this process)

2) Picky executives that really do not like to have to log in to anything.

3) Creating automated reporting from external systems.

Also, snapshots are not always ideal ... they provide a past status, versus answering the question, "where are we right now".

My team and I were doing some testing on the Public Link to see if it's something we could use for client-facing status reports. So far we love the direction! We'd like to see a setting to only show the project level and not the tasks under projects for a high-level view. It would also be ideal to hide projects on the list. Status reviews with clients can get derailed with things we aren't actively working on that are showing a report like this.

Hi, a public view is great!

However is the main project clickable? I've just tested by generating a public link, yet when viewing the main project does not exist in the public view.

As most information exist in the main project page, if public view cannot view it, it defeats our purpose of creating a public view.

Also if we are to mass or auto produce public links, is that doable, considering that they should have the same view.

To be specific it is showing everything, yet usually main project is also show in the table, yet when in public link it's not.

Also if we want to mass produce public link, or auto generate it and export it regularly to our external platforms is it possible?

Ideally as project details are in the main project i.e. "JML_01.09 - CI Red Hibiscus - T1", in the future can developers open up setting so selected projects / tasks can be open up for view?

We are excited about Public Link, but the main goal is to share with the company writ-large key project statuses and fields. This feature isn't useful to us until we can filter/limit the depth or item types visible in the public link.

I'd also like to back this; our Video team is starting to use Wrike, and wanted to be able to share a link to cast & crew that has real time updates on the location and schedule - which is in the details of a Project in Wrike. I've been working hard to try and get that team integrated into Wrike, because that would mean more users and more cohesive work - but this may be something we can't make work.
