We need the ability for a duplication rule to duplicate the task that is triggering the rule itself.
Currently, the only available option is to duplicate pre-selected “set tasks,” which is not effective in multi-cross workflow environments where the same task moves through multiple operational stages.
For example:
A Production task follows a Project Management workflow.
When it reaches the “Fabrication” or “Installation” stage, the system should allow that same task (the one triggering the rule) to be duplicated automatically into a different folder or workflow.
This would allow different departments to continue their respective processes in parallel without disrupting or losing the original workflow structure.
The goal is:
- Keep the original task intact within its original workflow.
- Automatically create a duplicate of that same task in another department’s workflow.
- Enable parallel progress without breaking task history or structure.
This capability is essential for multi-department operational environments.
