Ho to exclude customized elements from widget

Question

Hi, I build a widget that shows the task of each project sorted by status.group, to visualize the performance of each project. Additionaly we are using a customized element of the type "project-element" called "Arbeitspaket", which is not supposed to be visible in the project, but I can't find a way to get rid of it.  Does anyone have an idea

widget, not wanted entries are crossed out:

x-axis: number of tasks

y-axis: projects

Setting:

I need to change data setting in the lower section to exclude "Arbeitspaket" but this is not possible. I could change the upper field ("Bericht über = report about") to "project" to exclude "Arbeitspaket"  but than I won't get the task-overview as shown above.

I also tried the filter option, but I can't exclude customized elemtens here, either:

Similar to the poster above, I've used the Check box custom fields to designate what I do/don't want in certain reports and dashboards.

I haven't tried the new filters for this use case yet, but it seems like a good/more efficient alternative if it works.

If you are able to switch to the new filters, they have an option for "is not" that let's you exclude by custom item type.

Another work-around I used to use before the new filters was to create a custom field of "include in dashboard" and I could then filter by that.
