Calculating actual cost

Hi everyone!

I am not very familiar with the billing functionality in Wrike but one of our teams utilises this for their billing. Can I check - all the projects have been set as billable but do all the tasks need to be billable as well in order for the actual cost to be calculated? I have noticed with this particular team that all the tasks are set as unbillable and the actual cost is showing as $0 so I am wondering if this is why? Also do the individual tasks need to be assigned to someone? Or does the billing cost still calculate even if the team member just adds their time to the task even if they weren't assigned?

Hi @Amy Hunter Only the project needs to be set to billable any sub tasks will be billable. If you have sub projects, those will need to be set to billable as well. I haven't seen a way to have the parent billable setting cascade to sub projects.
Task do need to be assigned to someone for costs to show up, and there needs to be assoicated rates set for that person. We use Job Roles for our rates, and each person is assigned a Job Role so the rates get attached the all the users under that role. We also will assign a Job Role to a task if we want the costs to show up with out assigning a user to it.
Also there needs to be effort assigned to the task, other wise the cost won't show even with some one assigned to it.
