Hi team!
It would be awesome to have an automated comment or automated line generate in the parent-item description for when work is created via a request form that indicates which request form was used. This simple level of traceability would help save a ton time when it comes to troubleshooting to help identify almost instantly which request form is affected.
Some workarounds I thought about were to:
- Create a folder for each request form and set it to the Save to location in the main form configurations
- More folders to govern/maintain
- Save to location setting in the main form settings is limited to 1 location (would need to add more locations via other questions in the form)
- Add a headline with the name of the request form in the form itself
- Might seem out of place for external forms (or appear like duplicated text)
Ideally, though, it would be nice to be able to have a way to understand what work item came from which request form without having to set up any additional actions. Note that we do have metrics for "submitted total" and "submitted this month" in the backend per request form, but no way to understand which requests came from them.
