The timesheet features (all of them) would be much more useful if there was a bi-weekly option. Most employers in the US using Wrike time entry to feed payroll are handcuffed. Neither the weekly, nor monthly, options work for most companies (BLS shows 43% of the US pays bi-weekly versus 27% weekly, 10.3% monthly and 19.8% semi-monthly). So the current feature set doesn't support more than half the companies in the country. I expect bi-weekly to be a far higher percentage amongst Wrike customers who tend to be professional (bi-weekly) versus labor (weekly) oriented. That's the business case.
Functionality wise, the most important part of the tool needing the bi-weekly cadence is the timesheet entry and approval process. Currently, managers must approve two different timesheets for each bi-weekly payroll. Then the payroll admin has to manually add together the hours for each and every hourly employee. It's tedious, time consuming and very error prone. This is especially true because most payroll systems use decimal time (e.g. 9.5 hours) rather than h:m format like Wrike displays (e.g. 9h 30m). So not only do we have to add time together from two separate timesheets, we have to add dissimilar quantities. (I can't tell you how many times 9h 5m was added as 9.5 hours.)
Adding bi-weekly capability to timesheet management would not only make the system far more friendly for a common and recurring use case, it would open up a marketing message for Wrike as a true time management system.
I hope my user colleagues will offer their impressions, and you'll consider this feature request.
