Currently, the Wrike Desktop App only restores the previous session or allows a single home page. Unlike a web browser, there is no way to define multiple pages that automatically open when launching the desktop application.
Since this functionality is already achievable in web browsers by configuring multiple startup tabs, this request is specifically for the Wrike Desktop App.
Suggested functionality
Allow users to configure multiple startup pages that automatically open every time the Wrike Desktop App launches.
Examples:
- Project Portfolio
- Dashboard – Project Management
- Dashboard – My Projects
- Space – Technology
- Table View – Active Projects
- Calendar
- Reports
Benefits
- Faster daily startup for power users.
- Eliminates repetitive navigation every morning.
- Provides a consistent workspace every time the Desktop App opens.
- Particularly useful for Project Managers, PMOs, IT Administrators, and other users who work with multiple dashboards and spaces simultaneously.
Why this is important
Many users prefer the Desktop App over a web browser because of notifications, performance, and separation from their browser sessions.
While browsers already support opening multiple startup tabs, the Wrike Desktop App currently lacks an equivalent feature.
Adding configurable startup pages would bring the Desktop App closer to the flexibility users already have in modern web browsers.
