TL;DR: Request Forms now support custom background colors and images from the Design tab, giving you full control over your form's visual identity. Available on Business plans and above.
Hi Community! π
In our recent Form Branding & Short Public URLs update, we introduced logo support, theme options, and short public URLs for Request Forms. At the time, we mentioned that custom background color and image support were on the way!
Now we're delivering on that promise. These additions round out the form branding experience, giving you full control over your form's visual presentation. Let's take a look. π
Why This Matters
Logo branding laid the foundation, and now, background customisation completes the picture.
This update gives teams, especially those managing client-facing or cross-brand intake, the ability to present forms that truly reflect their organization's identity from top to bottom.Β
The same goes for organisations with internal professional services teams or shared services functions, where a branded form experience reinforces consistency and professionalism, even when the audience is internal.
What's New
Background Color π¨
- Pick any color using the RGB color picker or enter a hex code directly
- Applied to the form background, visible on internal, external, and embedded forms
- Live preview updates in real time as you pick color
Background Image πΌοΈ
- Upload an image. Supported formats: SVG, EPS, JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP (up to 2 MB)
- Pan to reposition and zoom to fit using the adjust image controls
- Reuse across forms - Images uploaded to any form are available via the "Used in Forms" tab, so there's no need to re-upload
- Live preview updates as you adjust
Example in Action
Let's revisit the scenario from our previous post - and expand it!
Scenario 1: Agency managing multiple clients
A marketing agency manages intake for two different clients. They've already added each client's logo and set up short, readable URLs. Now, with background customisation, they take it even further:
- Client A: A sleek dark background color matching the client's brand palette.
- Client B: A branded background image that brings the client's visual identity to life across the entire form.
The result? Each form feels like a native, fully branded experience - not a generic tool. Higher trust, higher completion rates, and a professional impression. β¨
Scenario 2: Internal teams driving engagement through branded intake
A company's Digital Transformation team is gathering ideas and requirements from across the organisation on what to automate with AI agents and bots.Β They build an internal Request Form, fully on brand:
- Team logo to establish ownership and credibility
- Custom background color or image that aligns with the initiative's visual identity
When shared across the org, the form doesn't feel like a generic survey. It feels intentional and professional. That on-brand look and feel builds trust, drives higher engagement, and signals that the team behind it takes the process seriously. β¨
