This week, we’re diving into the Food Products Launches template created by @Isabel Acosta Ortega 🚀
Launching new food items across multiple retail or store locations requires close coordination between culinary development, compliance, logistics, and store operations. Without a structured process, it can be difficult to track execution timelines, manage product documentation, or capture feedback after a launch. This template provides a centralized workspace tailored for retail food operations, helping teams coordinate new rollouts consistently while tracking issues and learnings in one place.

Workspace Overview

As the names suggest, you can easily sort and add your relevant project/task information to these dedicated folders to keep your team organized.
Let’s Take a Closer Look 👀
A successful product rollout relies on standardized execution and clear reporting. Here is how this template supports your launch lifecycle:
1. Centralized Work Intake with the "In-Store Food Requests" Form
This template includes an In-Store Food Requests Form that serves two core purposes: requesting new products to be launched in stores, or reporting an issue with existing products already on shelves.
2. Automated Blueprints & Custom Item Types
When a request is submitted through the form, it is automatically added to the Request folder. Wrike’s backend uses the pre-built blueprints to populate the request with relevant sub-items and prepopulate specialized Custom Item Types based on the options selected in the form, reducing manual administrative setup.
3. High-Level Dashboards
The template includes two pre-configured dashboards to help teams manage performance and address roadblocks:
- Template Overview Dashboard: Provides a clear overview, usage tips, and information on how to get the most out of the workspace.
- Product Launches Overview Dashboard: Displays key operational insights, featuring widgets to track incoming request types, overall project counts, items successfully launched, and more.
Customize the Space for Your Needs
This template provides a starting point that store operations and teams can adapt to match their specific retail workflows. You can further customize the workspace by exploring the following options:
- Refine the Intake: Add or modify questions in the Request Form to capture exact product specifications or ingredient details.
- Adjust Custom Fields: Modify Custom Fields to better reflect your team's essential request details, SKUs, or compliance requirements.
- Update Custom Item Types: Add or change Custom Item Types to match the specific types of inventory or menu work your teams handle.
- Tailor Workflows: Add or change the workflows to better fit your internal kitchen testing, tasting panels, or inventory verification processes.
We hope this template overview is helpful as you review approaches to managing food and beverage rollouts. The Food Products Launches template is a practical tool for managers, store operators, and culinary teams looking to bring consistency and visibility to their retail launch processes.
