This week, we’re diving into a visually-focused workspace designed specifically for creative operations: the Accessories Production Design Team template created by @Maria Phillips! 🚀
Managing accessories production requires balancing creative design with retail logistics. Without a structured process, tracking design progress, monitoring licensing agreements, and counting retailer requests per design can be difficult.

Now, Let’s Take a Closer Look 👀
A successful production run relies on clear visual context and flawless coordination with external stakeholders. Here is how this template supports your design lifecycle:
1. Centralized Visual Intake via Request Forms
New work starts through the Accessories Design Brief request form, allowing stakeholders to submit all critical specifications upfront instead of using fragmented email chains:
- Drop-downs: Select the specific Retailer, License, and Product Type.
- Design Details: Input core reasons, Target Age Ranges, Seasons, Delivery Dates, and Image References.
2. Rich Board Views & Form Mapping
Once the form is submitted, an item is instantly created using the specialized Design Brief Custom Item Type. When you open your Board View, you will see the task fully populated with your text details and the uploaded image reference right on the card, helping your creative team visualize the queue at a glance. All data is automatically mapped to your Custom Fields alongside your target delivery dates.
3. Integrated Automation for Clean Workspaces
To maintain an organized workspace, a pre-built automation rule automatically moves a Design Brief into the Design Archive folder as soon as its status is marked Completed. This keeps your active pipeline focused strictly on live projects.
4. High-Level Dashboards
Keep stakeholders and managers aligned without manual status reports using two pre-configured dashboards:
- Template Overview Dashboard: Gives a quick orientation of the space with usage tips to maximize productivity.
- Accessories Team Dashboard: Features a Calendar Widget to track upcoming deadlines, a Briefs by Retailers bar chart to monitor layout demand, and a structured List of Briefs table widget for granular review.
Customize the Space for Your Needs
You can adapt this workspace to your specific processes using these customization options:
- Refine the Intake: Add or modify questions in the Request Form to capture precise material types or Pantone color codes.
- Adjust Custom Fields: Edit Custom Fields to include internal SKU codes, factory locations, or budget tiers.
- Update Custom Item Types: Expand your Custom Item Types if your team handles separate categories like packaging design or prototyping.
- Tailor Workflows: Add custom stages for "Internal Critique," "Sample Testing," or "Retailer Approval."
Share With Your Team 👥
Once you've tailored the space, maximize its utility by sharing it:
- Send the Request Form link to merchandising, sales, or external retail partners who submit design requests.
- Grant Space access to your immediate design and production team members.
- Share the Dashboards with cross-functional managers and executives to maintain absolute alignment on deliverables.
We hope this overview gives your creative team a head start on streamlining your production pipeline! Thanks to @Maria Phillips for creating and sharing this template with the Wrike Community so other users can benefit from it as well 🙏
