This week, we’re diving into a creative operations workspace: the Adventure Parks Design Studio template created by @Heather Schanzel ! 🚀
Managing design requests across multiple adventure park locations and departments requires a clear, organized workflow. Without a structured process, tracking deadlines, managing revisions, and separating digital assets from print materials can easily become difficult. This template centralizes your design intake, standardizes review cycles, and provides full transparency across every creative project.

Let’s Take a Closer Look 👀
A successful creative studio relies on structured pipelines, clear asset tracking, and smart resource routing. Here is how this template supports your design lifecycle:
Once installed, you will see pre-populated folders in a Table View with a few examples in each folder.
- New Requests Backlog
- Digital Tasks
- Print Tasks
- Parks
1. Centralized Intake & Blueprints
All new design work enters the space via the Design Team Request Form, which captures crucial project data. When submitted, the template relies on blueprints to build out the request based on the user's choices. The new project lands in the New Requests Backlog folder, with the form data automatically mapped straight into your Custom Fields.
2. End-to-End Project Structuring
The template automatically generates pre-configured subitems to guide your team through the entire production pipeline. For example, if a user submits a request for a specific park location, like Luminara Adventures, the project is instantly structured into dedicated phases:
- Internal draft
- Copywriting
- Requester proof
- Final approval
- Send final files
3. Assignment-Driven Automations
To reduce manual administrative tasks, this template includes two pre-built automation rules that route work dynamically based on team assignments. For example, when a new incoming digital task is assigned to a team member, Wrike automatically moves it out of the New Requests Backlog folder and places it directly into the active Digital Tasks folder.
4. High-Level Creative Dashboards
Keep creative directors, park managers, and stakeholders aligned using the Design Team Overview Dashboard. It features visual widgets designed to track real-time studio volume:
- Total Number of Requests
- Active Requests
- Completed Requests
- Requests broken down by Park and Department
Customize the Space for Your Needs
You can adapt this workspace to your specific creative processes using these customization options:
- Refine the Intake: Add questions to the Request Form to capture specific printing dimensions, file format requirements, or targeted seasonal campaigns.
- Adjust Custom Fields: Edit Custom Fields to track asset dimensions, localized language translations, or external agency costs.
- Update Custom Item Types: Expand your Custom Item Types configurations if your studio handles complex deliverables like large-scale park signage, merchandise mockups, or video production.
- Tailor Workflows: Add custom approval or proofing stages to fit your internal legal reviews or external brand compliance guidelines.
Share With Your Team 👥
Once you've tailored the space, maximize its utility by sharing it:
- Share the Request Form link with park managers, marketing coordinators, and operations teams who need design support.
- Grant Space and folder access to your graphic designers, copywriters, and production artists handling active tasks.
- Share the Dashboards with leadership teams to maintain total visibility over creative capacity and output.
We hope this overview gives your creative team a head start on optimizing your design pipeline! Thanks to @Heather Schanzel for creating and sharing this template with the Wrike Community so other users can benefit from it as well 🙏
