Hey Community 👋

We’re continuing our spotlight on Request Form templates! As a reminder, you can easily access these from your profile menu under Templates & Solutions. This week, we’re focusing on a powerful creative operations tool: the Campaign Request Form template! 🚀
Streamline your marketing campaign intake with a structured request form that captures all essential details upfront. Whether requesting an event or a product campaign, your team receives the target audience, timeline, brand alignment, and deliverables from day one.
What’s Inside This Template?
- Request Form: A pre-configured, dynamic intake form for events and marketing campaign submissions.
- Blueprints: Structured templates to auto-populate initial stages and subtasks upon form submission.
- Custom Fields: Fields for tracking region, event types, brand association, and requesting departments.
- Custom Item Types (CITs): Project-level CITs for Go-to-Market Campaign and Event.
💡 Installation Tip: You can also find this template directly using this LINK. From there, it can be used to create a brand-new space or added directly into an existing one. For a step-by-step guide on installing it into a pre-existing space, check out this article. Plus, thanks to a recent Wrike Labs release, you can now map template configurations (such as Custom Fields) directly to your existing space setup during installation to avoid creating duplicates!
Workspace Setup & Overview
Once you install the template, head to your Space Settings ⚙️ and select Request Forms to open the Campaign Request form. You will find:
- Response Settings (Left Panel): Pre-configured routing rules, initial status settings, and target destination folders for incoming requests.
- Form Builder (Right Panel): Pre-loaded questions capturing request types, brand details, requesting departments, and event timelines.
Let’s Take a Closer Look 👀
1. Dynamic Conditional Logic & Automated Workflows
When a requester opens the form, selecting the request type (either Campaign or Event) triggers conditional follow-up questions tailored specifically to that initiative.
Once submitted, Wrike automatically generates the corresponding Project-based Custom Item Type in your space, fully mapped with the submitter's responses and populated with standardized subitems covering execution from start to finish.
2. Specialized Project-Level Custom Item Types (CITs)
This template includes two dedicated project-type Custom Item Types to distinguish between distinct marketing efforts:
- Go-to-Market Campaign: Designed for structured multi-channel promotional activities over a period of time to bring new products or features to market.
- Event: Designed for planned activities or occasions (such as webinars, trade shows, field marketing, or product launches).
3. Automatic Custom Field Mapping
Pre-added custom fields ensure all intake context is preserved directly within the newly created project. Some of the key fields include:
- Region
- Event Types
- Brands
- Requesting Department and more
Where to Use This Form (Real-World Examples)
This template is versatile and can be adapted across several marketing workflows:
- Integrated Marketing Teams: Route global brand campaign requests directly to cross-functional pods with pre-mapped brand assets and targeting details.
- Field Marketing & Event Operations: Capture venue requirements, dates, booth setups, and webinar logistics for upcoming industry conferences.
- Product Marketing Launches: Standardize new GTM launch requests from product teams to ensure clear deliverable timelines across copy, design, and web teams.
Customize the Form for Your Needs
You can adjust this campaign intake setup using these customization options:
- Tailor Questions & Design: Add custom questions or customize the form design by adding your company logo and header imagery via the Design tab.
- Modify Blueprints & Subtasks: Update the underlying Blueprints to adjust pre-populated subtasks and milestones to match your internal campaign production schedules.
- Expand Custom Fields: Add dropdown options for target audience segments, estimated budgets, or strategic goals to capture richer context during intake.
We hope this spotlight helps your team establish a clean, reliable intake process for all campaign and event requests!
