It would be extremely helpful for the Wrike MCP integration to expose native Effort data for tasks, including the total effort estimate and, ideally, Wrike's calculated allocation of that effort by assignee and workday.
Currently, ChatGPT can use the Wrike MCP to retrieve task names, assignees, start/due dates, statuses, project hierarchy, custom fields, etc., but it does not appear to have access to the native task-level Effort value. Booked Effort is available, but this is a different resource-planning field and isn't what drives our task-based workload planning.
Our use case is analyzing weekly team capacity directly through ChatGPT. For example, we'd like to ask:
“Review all active projects for this team and tell me how many effort hours each person is scheduled for this week, broken down by day and task. Flag people over capacity, tasks with dates/assignees but no effort, tasks with dates but no assignee, and identify which projects/tasks are creating workload spikes.”
Right now, MCP can retrieve most of the information needed for this analysis, but we have to manually export the Wrike Table View to Excel and upload it to ChatGPT to provide the missing Effort values.
Ideally, MCP would expose:
- Native task Effort
- Effort allocation method/settings
- Effort allocated to each assignee on multi-assignee tasks
- Daily effort allocation across the task's scheduled dates
- User capacity/work schedule data, including non-working days if available
- Workload/Utilization Chart allocation data
Exposing this data would enable AI-assisted resource planning, workload audits, capacity reporting, weekly team summaries, and identification of incorrectly configured effort without requiring manual exports from Wrike.
