TL;DR: Setting up AI agents in Wrike is now simpler, faster, and more intuitive! We’ve redesigned the AI Agent Builder with a side-by-side builder, natural sentence-style configuration, upfront action filters, and the ability to define "Scopes" and appoint agents directly during setup, giving you complete clarity and zero dead ends.
Hello Community! đź‘‹
We are excited to announce an update to AI Agents: A redesigned AI Agent Builder experience! 🤖
With this release, we’ve rebuilt the agent builder to reduce friction, eliminate dead ends, and speed up your workflow, all while maintaining the full power and capabilities you rely on.
🚀 What’s New?
1. Side-by-Side Builder (Configure & Test)
No more hopping back and forth between separate tabs to build and verify your agents! The chat builder and form builder now sit side-by-side as complementary tools.
- Live Real-Time Sync: See your changes sync instantly across both panels as you work.
- Stage-Based Workflow: Easily switch between the Configure and Test stages at the top of your screen to tune and test without ever leaving your view.
2. Introducing "Scopes" (Formerly Active Locations)
We’ve renamed "Locations" to Scopes to better match how teams naturally think about where an agent should operate.
- Clear Boundaries: "Scope" explicitly defines the total reach or boundary of your agent, making it easy to specify where an agent can work, execute actions, or check for triggers.
3. Appoint Agents Directly During Setup
Choosing where your agent works is now an integrated part of the creation process.
- Context-First Building: Define the scope right at the beginning so you can build with full context in mind.
- Non-Blocking & Flexible: Appointment is completely optional during creation, so it will never block you from saving an agent.
- Centralized Management: View and remove existing appointments directly from one place during setup, or appoint agents straight from the agents table.
4. Sentence-Style Triggers & Actions
Setting up rules and logic now reads in plain, natural language!
- Natural Configuration: Rule setups read like normal sentences (e.g., "When status changes in the sub-items of the agent’s scope… post a comment in the work items in the agent's scope").
- Progressive Fields: Form fields appear dynamically as you need them, automatically incorporating your custom scope and appointment choices into the wording so the setup fits your exact use case.
5. Clearer Action Filters
Upfront, surfaced filters give you complete visibility into agent logic before it runs.
- Targeted Execution: Easily review active conditions at a glance so your agents run exclusively on the work that matters, saving action runs and avoiding unwanted triggers.
