Request Form - Custom Field & Additional Options

We have a number of request forms that utilize answers from custom fields, which works great to help keep our data organized. I would like to be able to have a question in a request form that uses one of my custom fields as the answer options, plus add an option that is not included in the custom field. Such as an 'other' option that then allows me to add conditional branching, but I do not want to have to include these options in my custom field.

Is this something that can be done?

In the current setup, it's not possible to manually add options when using custom field options. However, your idea to include additional answer options in a request form, without having them in the custom field, is fantastic. We'd love to hear more about how you plan to use this feature if it becomes available in the future. A few examples would be great!

I could solve this with the option "other" in the value list of the custom field. The request form has a conditional branching for the value "other" and adds a sub-question to enter own value. In addition the task is tagged to a folder for regular review of value list.
