Viewing Task Details in Public Views

Hello!

I am looking for a way to share a folder, report, or dashboard with people outside of Wrike that includes the ability to open a task to see the details.

Only one department in my company uses Wrike so sometime we need to share the details of what we are working on with people in the same company but not on Wrike.

If there isn't a way to open a task in a shared view, then maybe there is a way to have the description show in a column in a table or on a dashboard or something like that? Any ideas?

A public dashboard is definitely a good option.

You can build a dashboard that shows statuses, numbers, task and project lists. I do not think this shares the details though.

To share the details of a task, I think they'll need some level of access in Wrike, either a collaborator or external user.

Not ideal or scalable, but within a given project or folder, you can select the option "Export project to Excel" while in Table view to export details and fields including Descriptions.

This is rather manual though and perhaps not ideal for sharing multiple projects, but it's one way to get around the fact that you can't share details of a task unless they have some level of access, as Mike pointed out.

There could be ways to do this via automations; we haven't explored this in depth but I know it's possible with Wrike Sync ($) to get something set up where automation kicks in to pull all that you need to something like an Excel sheet. You can probably reach out to your CSM to inquire about this, or do some reading on it by clicking the ? icon in Wrike, Apps & Integrations, search "Excel via Wrike Sync" (it will give you some use cases). This comes at an additional cost, however.
