Nested Comments

Our task and project comments are out of control. Multiple conversations in one task make communication very unclear and hard to follow.

If comments were nested - showing that one comment is a reply to another, it would make sifting through large amounts of comments much easier.

That would be fantastic.... I also wish that we could enable or disable comments for subtasks. I would love to keep all communication at the parent level so all are involved and people on my end constantly type in the wrong task

This would be very useful, instead of the cosmetic improvements we just got here:

In fact I just pointed out to @[Deleted User] that this post has 70 votes but no status! You guys scold the community all the time not to expect any movement when requests don't reach 70 votes! I think this is just another example of not being consequential, and that's disappointing.

Either way I hope to see Threaded comments come to fruition at some point, ClickUp just released them so yet another feature they have now (like subtasks in boards, Docs, Chats, etc, etc.) that you guys are lagging on, and that are highly requested.

According to the Product team, there are currently no plans to add this suggestion to the short-term roadmap. I understand that this is disappointing, but please be assured that the team is constantly reading your feedback in relation to this request. If anything changes, I'll be sure to let you know.

@[Deleted User], can you provide any reasoning behind why product doesn't want to do this? As has been pointed out, all good apps in the market that rely on chats have some form of Threaded Commenting. Your guys' activity stream contains a lot of great detail, but it can get cluttered, and this feature actually allows somebody to respond directly to a poster, instead of just adding another arbitrary-looking piece of content to a long stream.

Really hope you guys will give this some consideration. Without this your commenting feature continues to age as time goes by and the market evolves...

Thank you @Al Sape and sorry for the late reply! I checked with the team again to see if there are any changes for this suggestion, and unfortunately, there aren't due to other priorities this year like the New Wrike Experience and others.

This would be a life saver! Nested comments / threads would really clean up communication within tasks. Is this still unplanned?
