@Mention tasks need a place to live outside of the Wrike Inbox so users can manage actions for their unassigned tasks.

My users have been asking for a @Mention inbox feature, since tasks are not always assigned to the person mentioned (typically a stakeholder). Tasks that have mentions do not show up in dashboards and can be easily missed or buried in the Wrike inbox. Can you add an option to add task mentions to My To Do list or a widget to Dashboards to resolve this?

Hi Elva,

I think this is a very interesting topic. I totally agree there is the risk of missing important @mentions in a crowded inbox. But don't you think it will end up just the same with a dashboard that shows all @mentions?

I think it would be better to avoid unneccesary mentions, for example by using advanced auto follow settings, like I suggested in this feature request:

Unfortunately, auto-follows don’t work for this use case because users who are mentioned may not need to be following a task, but are mentioned as needed. I already set up automation rules to notify them if a status is changed to Pending Input or Proof Review but when assignees mention the KSH for a different action (response to a question, attach an asset, etc.) it "gets lost in the sauce". There needs to be a way for stakeholders to be mentioned and keep a running list of what task may need their attention. Users have been saying they would like to auto-add mentions to My to-do list so it can be kept separate from a dashboard (since you can't set a filter to mentions).

I somehow missed your previous message.

And I think you got me wrong. I agree that auto-following every task is not the solution, but makes it more difficult so get the real important messages.

My suggestion was avoiding a crowded inbox be deactivating auto-follow of every task I was engaged with.

I guess if Wrike would handle personal @mentions different than group @mentions, it would get messy on the other side. Users would have to think if they mention every user in personal instead of using the way more simple @followers. This won't be benefitial at the end.

@Elva Mironova Would adding more filter options to the current Inbox work? The current filtering options only allow to see all notifications or unread only. Perhaps the easiest way to implement this would be to add in filters for the different types of notifications. Just being able to filter to only see notifications when you are mentioned would be very helpful.

I would argue that this is a critical request and would lend significant value to the overall management of the shear load of items in the inbox. My Wrike inbox becomes so loaded down with all the @followers and @assignees, new tickets created, spaces and folders I follow, as well as the specific @ mentions. If I miss a day or two of Wrike inbox management, it gets loaded down. The critical items in which Im specifically @ mentioned get lost and there's no way to isolate them. Even if I could do it in a dashboard or report, it would be ok. I'd vote for a multi-faceted solution so the end-user can have options that work best for them. One - inbox filter (as mentioned above). Second - a dashboard widget that targets ticket comments where the user is directly called out in a comment. I realize that an issue that can come of this would be how does the user flag that they saw the comment or acted on it so it doesnt clog up the widget or filtered inbox and to have an option to keep it in your view even if you saw it. The fine people at Wrike hopefully can figure out a solution to all this. Fingers crossed that this moves up on the priority list!!
