Dependency options greyed out?

Hi friends,

I have an tem structure that looks like this

Feature

-Phase A (Sub-Item)

-Phase B (Sub-Item)

-Phase C (Sub-Item)

I'm trying to add dependencies to the subitems to chain them together. However, when I click "Add Dependency", the "Predecessor" and "Successor" elements are greyed out and unselectable, except on Phase A.

If I try to do it via drag-and-drop on the Gantt Chart view, A simply will not connect to B.

Any ideas why this is preventing me from adding dependencies to my items?

I ran into this issue. My problem was caused by the tasks being in a Status related in the Deferred State. Found the answer in an FAQ another Wrike user shared in /hc/en-us/community/posts/211743509-FAQ-Can-t-Create-a-Dependency
