I know the name and email questions are mandatory, but it would be great if we could:

Add additional questions to this page, related to contact information (ie. phone number, address, etc.)

Be able to split up the name question (or choose if we want to ask for full name in one question, or first name and/or last name in separate questions)

This piece of feedback sprung from a specific use case. We are trying to connect requester names to our CRM via an integration through mapping the questions to separate custom fields (first name and last name fields), but we cannot add another question to this page or split the name question. We can rename the Your name question to first name and later add last name in the field OR re-add first and last name questions later in the form, but we want to avoid a choppy experience and we don't want users to have to fill in the same questions twice, respectively.

Totally understand that the email question should be mandatory if we are requiring the respondent's name and email, as we want to ensure they get emailed a copy of their submission and so that we can email requesters directly from any give work item - not trying to change this aspect of the existing feature. We just want more control over how we capture name and other relevant contact information.

Thanks!

I would love to have the ability to modify a database with automation. This would open up so many more uses for a DB in Wrike. I would love to see the ability to read, add and edit records based on data that comes in from a form, or a certain type of task.

We are currently tracking our equipment in a database (because having assets mixed with users is not implimented very well right now) and have a form for scheduling equipment use. When the task is created, some has to manually go into the database and first check to see if the equipment is available for the requested time, then change the record of that piece of equipment, then update the task appropriatelty. If we had access to the DD in automations it would make this process so much easier.

Also if there was some type of filtering based on a column in the db that would allow only certain items to appear in a custom/form field, that would be amazing!

Then imagine if a dashboard could access DB info):o

Hello!

It would be awesome to be able to configure a pop-up for request forms that appear when landing on a request form page (both internal and external).

To be honest, it doesn't seem like many people (in our account, at least) read through request form descriptions - it's especially hard without any text formatting. It is therefore inevitable that any descriptions that we write there don't get read, which often contain important information.

If we were able to configure a short pop-up (that allows for a colour to be set, rich-formatting, etc.) to contain something like a warning, something to keep in mind, etc., I feel like it would force users to at least acknowledge the information or make them less likely to scroll past it.

There are many use cases for this, but one that came up today was for an office visit form for the Events team; they need to mention that there shouldn't be any visits scheduled during a certain timeframe in April as there is a major event taking place at the office. I thought having this in a pop-up format would help increase visibility.

Our team is interested in printing responses from a Wrike request form to a PDF attached to the generated task, rather than sending everything to the description of the generated task. They've found that they prefer to use the description to capture additional information while looking at the actual 'form' as a separate piece. Would be very helpful if this feature existed at some point in the future.

Is it possible to have a form generate a new line item in a database? It feels like it should be a simple function, but I'm having trouble figuring it out or finding any info about it. For example, we have an excel that tracks all of our events. If I have a form where someone tells me the name of an event, the date, and maybe a couple other pieces of data, I'd like that to be added to a database.

Hello!

I had an idea that I'd like to share with the Community regarding the searchability of request forms.

I wanted to propose the addition of tags and with it, ways to filter! How it would work:

On the backend configuration of forms, we'd be able to add custom tags for classification

On the front-end of the search page, users would be able to filter on tags to find forms that fit that bucket

This idea springs from some of the challenges our account has had with the Request Form search. We have tons of forms and with it, some feedback that folks never know which one to use. The search currently looks for keywords in both the title and description.

A use case we have is blogs. Blogs are hosted on our website, but we have a separate form for it that's different from the webpage creation form as different people work on these 2 deliverables. In the webpage creation form's description, we mention blogs to specify that this form isn't for blogs and if you need a blog, to use XYZ request form (with a link). When someone searches for "blog", both these forms come up and it can be confusing as to which one to use, especially with longer descriptions.

Having tags will allow us to categorize request forms in a way that works for our account and will make it easier to search for any specific one.

To make sure we build this in a way that truly works for you, we’re currently in the discovery phase and looking to speak with customers who:

Use (or want to use) complex Request Forms, and/or

Struggle today with splitting large requests into subitems or managing many conditional questions, and/or

Have to rely on multiple forms for different teams while working on the same project.

If this sounds like you and you’d like to influence how Request Forms evolve, please book a 45‑minute interview with us here:👉 Book a time

Thanks a lot for your ideas and continued feedback — it’s directly shaping what we’re building next.

Hey admins, Alina from product here 👋

Have you ever struggled to find the right custom field or custom item type? Here you are typing in "Client" just to find 20 of such configurations staring at you. We've all been there! When the team is large, keeping your processes under control becomes critical, ensuring that only the right things are used.

Today I am bringing another release that should help you cleanup your workspace — ability to deactivate custom fields and custom item types! It takes 5 minutes to deactivate or reactivate again. Try it!

How it works

Draft or archival, why not both? Use status field to turn a custom field / custom item type on or off. Use 'off' state to archive or to mark this configuration as draft.

Admins will continue to see and be able to manage this custom field / custom item type in their admin lists.

Data is not lost. This feature is NOT deleteion.

Custom item types. If a real item has already been created from a custom item type, it stays. A deactivated custom item type cannot be discovered in menus to create from it again. Item itself stays editable. A visual note will help to understand who has deactivated it and when.

Custom fields. If a custom field is already selected on an item, it stays on it. A deactivated custom field turns read only and menus do not allow to discover it by default (however you can enable a setting in the custom field search to discover them). A visual note will help to understand who has deactivated it and when.

Changed your mind? It's OK. Reactivate anytime to restore the configuration and it will bounce back in places of use.

Where to start? Helpful usage stats are already there to help make an educated decision.

P. S. With this release, you now have the full collection of tools to quickly cleanup your workspace! Other features:

Hi,

I've looked through all of the automation actions, and I have an idea of another one, that would be very usefull.

If possible, when a trigger occours, fx the status of a task or project changes, then a pop up window with a request form could appear, allowing the user to be "forced" to answer it and thereby add information to the project.

The reason for this idea, is that in my team, we have set up the request forms in wrike with some external automations in our own system, and would like those to work together with wrikes automation, to create a more continuous flow with a limit to the manual steps.

It seems the automation in wrike is already spanding wide, so I hope it can include the request forms as an action as well.

Hello Wrike Community,

I’m currently architecting a workflow where we use Wrike Request Forms for intake, but our steering committee still requires a standardized 'Project Charter' and 'RAID Log' for our monthly audits.

My question: Does anyone else find that executive stakeholders prefer these standardized external documents (PDF/Docx) over looking directly at Wrike tasks, or have you successfully transitioned your leadership to be 'Wrike-only' for project approvals?

I’ve been looking at the governance artifacts on projectmanagertemplate.com to use as our 'Gold Standard' for these documents, and then attaching the finalized versions back to the Wrike project folder.

I'd love to hear how you handle formal project initiation documentation!"

Thanks in advance
