Automation to flag tasks that have gone over allocated hours

Howdy, Wrike community!

I am looking to create an automation to flag tasks when my team has consumed or exceeded their allocated hours. When I have tried to create this automation on my own, the conditional fields require that I put in a specific amount of time, rather than a percentage of completion. 

We are using a custom field for Allocated Hours so we can calculate the time remaining in a task. 

Is there any workaround to this? Or does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative way to establish some sort of notification when X amount of hours is reached?

We’ve run into a similar challenge with tracking effort vs. allocated hours. One workaround that’s helped us is using a calculated custom field (e.g., “% Hours Used”) that compares Logged Time against Allocated Hours. Then, we use a Dashboard widget filtered by that field to manually monitor tasks approaching 100%.

Not perfect, but it gives our leads visibility before things go over budget. Would love to see more dynamic automation options around effort in the future!
