Time Spent during custom date range for CIT Project Report

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to create a report/dashboard that will show me all the time logged to a specific project type during a given time frame.

The Time Entries report allows me to filter for a specific date range but I can't filter by Custom Project type only Custom Task type.

And the Project Report will allow me to filter by Project Type and see Time spent but doesn't allow me to set a custom date range.

In my particular use case I need it broken down by month.

I feel like what I want is basic, so I don't understand why it's not something I can intuitively make. Am I missing something?

Any help would be much appreciated. Right now it looks like we need to have a new project every month which will cause a lot of automation issues with workflows being setup in Wrike Integrate.

Hi @Tiffany Sands, if I'm understanding your challenge correctly, you should be able to calculate Time Spent on a Dashboard!

Create a custom widget
Go to the Filters tab, click "Completed Date" and select your custom date range (using "This Month" or "Last Month" would be easier so you never have to update a custom date range!)
Go back to the Data tab and set your "Data Source" to the project you want to report on
Change "Reporting On" to your CIT
Under "Metrics", add "Time Spent" from the dropdown
Select the number chart near the bottom left corner
Click the "Create widget" button and you should be all set!

Thank you for responding on this! Unfortunately I need a report that shows me all of the client retainers. I'm looking for a table view that will look at all of our retainer project types and show the time spent for a given date range (Calendar Months).

We haven't been able to find a way to do this with Dashboards or reports yet.
