Feature Updates
We’ve introduced several enhancements to make building, configuring, and using AI Agents more intuitive and powerful.
What’s new?
- Save and Appoint Reminders: Your work in the conversational builder is now protected! If you leave before appointing an agent, a new pop-up lets you either Add agent to appoint it immediately or Save for later.
Agents begin running once appointed to a folder, project, or task. You can also appoint an agent by @mentioning it in a work item ’s comments.
- Add a Wait Before Taking Action: You can now instruct agents to pause (e.g., “Wait two minutes before doing anything”). This timer-based delay is perfect for giving external integrations, time to update fields before the agent acts, reducing the chance of it acting on incomplete data.
- Notify Microsoft Teams Group Chats: Extend communication beyond channels. Agents can now generate contextual messages and send them directly to MS Teams group chats via the Wrike for Microsoft Teams app. Every notification includes a link back to the originating Wrike item.
- Select Users and Locations with UI Chips: Setting up agents is now much more precise. Instead of manually typing names and relying on search results, you can confidently select the right users and locations directly in the builder chat using interactive UI chips.
Connecting Whiteboards to your work just became faster and more seamless. These improvements reduce manual steps, increase visibility, and keep your team working within Wrike.
What’s new?
- Smart Board Chips: Whiteboard URLs in descriptions and comments are automatically converted into clean, named chips including previously added links.
- Auto-Attachment and Quick Undo: Pasting a Whiteboard link automatically attaches it to the task. If the attachment was unintentional, select Undo in the pop-up notification.
- Overlay View and Deep-Linking: Selecting a chip opens the Whiteboard in Wrike’s Universal View overlay. Links containing a focus on parameter zoom directly to the relevant section.
- Better Visibility and Backlinks: Auto-attached boards appear under Shared with me on the Whiteboards page for task members, while board owners can see which work items mention their Whiteboard.

- AI Agents August Update: Right People, Right Time - Plus Three New Agents ✔️
AI Agents can now dynamically @mention relevant users , work with people-type custom fields, post to Microsoft Teams group chats, and pause before taking action. This update also introduces three new prebuilt agents, conversational builder improvements, and MCP Server v2.
