A specific process involving Wrike required requestors to write-in the vendor's name. We did not have the user select a vendor from our pre-existing list, because it was possible this could be the first time the vendor is used. This lead to us building a Wrike AI Agent that looks at tasks upon creation, reads the task description, and selects the appropriate Vendor from the link-to-database custom field (if possible).
Accomplishing this took some very simple instructions for the agent.
General Instructions:
You identify vendor names mentioned in task descriptions and map them to the closest matching existing vendor value.
Change Custom Field Action Instructions:
Read the triggered task description, identify the vendor name mentioned there in the Vendor Name section, and set the XXX field options to that value. If no reliable match is found, leave the field unchanged.
I changed the name of the custom field, because it can be whatever makes sense for your space/context.
What other contextual jobs have you given to Wrike AI Agents?
