🧩 Managing Cross‑Team Projects Across Multiple Spaces in Wrike
When you’re coordinating a project that involves several teams, one of the first decisions is choosing which team’s space will host the main project. That “home” space becomes the source of truth for the overall work.
From there, a simple structure keeps everything clean and predictable:
- Create sub‑projects inside the main project for each participating team.
This gives every team a clearly defined area for their portion of the work. - Share each sub‑project with the relevant team so they have full access to manage their tasks, workflows, and updates.
- Ask secondary teams to tag their sub‑project into a folder within their own space. Adding a folder (not the space itself) to the sub-project's Location field lets their part of the project follow their preferred workflow without affecting the rest of the project in the primary team.
- If a team wants visibility on the whole initiative, they can tag the main project into one of their folders. Just avoid tagging the project into another team’s space; doing so would override the primary team’s workflows for the entire project.
This approach keeps ownership clear, workflows intact, and visibility easy for everyone involved. What else have you found helpful?
