Hello,
I am searching a way to hide some lines/tasks within a project in order to make GANTT chart more "readable" and communicate more efficiently to teams.
Hi @Constant Biblocque, you can use filters for example show only specific item type tasks. It depends on your needs.
Hello @Pietro Poli,
Thank you for your answer !
If I well understand, that implies that I create item custom type for certain task, because currently my projet is just full of tasks and subtasks which are not differentiable by their item type
@Constant Biblocque you don't necessarily need to create a custom item type for each task - you can set up filters based on custom fields, statuses, assignees. Like @Pietro Poli said, it all depends on your needs and what you want to hide. You can also make a "Personal" Gantt chart view to set filters to what you want to see (so it doesn't impact how others view it).
Hi Anna,
Thank you for getting back to me !
Ok I see. I was thinking and I came up with a solution that works well for me. I created a checkbox type custom filed and I named it "Hide in GANTT" and then I just have to check the box in tasks I want to hide and next apply filter on this custom field in GANTT view.
Thank you again Anna !
Great solution @Constant Biblocque
