Auto Fill values in Custom Fields

Hi,

I am looking to see if we can add a new functionality to Wrike. I want the values in the custom fields of the project to automatically fill in the values of the custom fields that are within the new tasks created within that project. I spoke with your customer support and they said that is currently not possible.

This functionality would be really great for us too.

We're creating new projects from request forms (which in turn duplicate blueprints) - so the custom fields are completed via the request form and then auto-populated at the project level, but the task custom fields are all left empty.

We need tasks within a project to auto-inherit custom field data, so that users and approvers have the detail they need on the tasks they're contributing to... but it's far too inefficient for the team to populate all of the task custom fields separately. So we're stuck!

Any help would be brilliant.

Hi @Bas Rijks, at the moment, autofill is not possible. I can recommend setting up a rule for @mentioning the followers if a custom field is empty but this will apply only checkbox or single select custom fields.

We'd use this heavily too -- Would be super helpful for us as we would like to use the Unito connector to pass custom field info in projects (collected via custom fields in an intake form) into custom fields within project tasks, then between Wrike tasks and Trello cards.

I've searched back and people have been asking for custom fields to cascade from projects to tasks since 2018. Can't believe the Wrike team isn't prioritizing this.
