We are excited to introduce dynamic dates management in Automation, designed to give you greater flexibility and precision in managing your projects.

Key Features:

- New Automation Actions: Change start and due dates to ensure your projects stay on schedule.

- Custom Field Support: Adjust custom fields of type "Date" within automation workflows.

- Expression Editor: Utilize dynamic expressions to:

1. Reference custom field values.
2. Calculate dates using the Now() function and math operations.
3. Implement conditional logic with the If-Then function.

4. Consider both working and non-working days for realistic scheduling.

Hi @Florian Gascho, so sorry for the delay here! 🙏 It got accidentally missed.

I tried this: Trigger: Status Change, Action: Create sub-item, Action: Change Due date/Start date. It doesn't adjust the due date of the subitem created. However, we can manually change the subitem status to trigger the automation again.

Hi @Basudha Sakshyarika, for us we use Project Rules similar to this one :
Here it would be awesome if we could reschedule the subitem created for example: keep the duration but start date is "today".

Makes sense! Thank you for sharing the example, @Florian Gascho. I tested this out to confirm, and it doesn’t adjust the due date of the subitem created. I’ll be sure to pass this feedback on to our product team. 👍🏽
