Job Role Bill Rate Changes

We are using the job roles to define the bill rates for projects. We want to implement new rates at a particular date in the near future.

It appears that any change either to the global rate or an override rate on a particular project changes all the historical data for that project.

Is there any way around this?

Can we set an effective date?

Work arounds?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Elizaveta Bogdanova -- I found this when searching to understand the same thing. I've reviewed several articles about HOW to change rates, but nothing that explains if/how a range of rates at the job role level will effect past time & projects that used the old rate. Could you share here and provide feedback to improve the articles to explain how "actual fees" in the past are effected?

Hi all on this thread. Has there been any update regarding using ranges/tracking historical changes relating to the Job Role rates? At this time I am seeing that we can set/change the rates, but there does not seem to be any history available that would be applied to historical data, so would definitely like to know if that is/can be supported.

Hi, I am also looking to change bill rates for individual contributors without affecting past data. For example, if we promote someone to a senior role, their bill rate will increase, but we don't want to change was was billed previously at the staff rate.
